El Circo, Sydney

Have you ever been at a restaurant and wished that you were in the circus at the same time? If you have then, this place is for you. El Circo takes over the Slide Club on Oxford Street every Sunday.
When you first go in, it does seem like a restaurant but soon you're greeted by a man in drag (of course!). You get a 9 course set menu, and even the dishes are circus themed, with soup in a syringe and virtual risotto, and between courses, acts appear and start doing their thing.
It's cool and definitely different!

Dune Bashing, Dubai

On a business trip in Dubai, my boss and I had some downtime and asked the hotel concierge what there is to do. My boss was keen on dune bashing and, not knowing what it was, I went along for the ride. For those, like me, that are unaware.. dune bashing is driving around in the desert in a 4x4.

Because there are a lot of dunes in the desert, you get quite a bumpy ride and soon, I was feeling pretty nauseaus somewhere in the desert at the back of a car. Now, if you're the one driving, I'm pretty sure it would be a lot of fun but when you're in the back of the car, it's not that great.

We came to a stop after a little while in the middle of the desert where a number of stalls had been set up and food was available. You could ride the camel, surf down the sand on a snowboard, get henna tattoos, and this was a bit more enjoyable.

Would I recommend this? I'd much prefer to do the driving but the dinner and stuff after the dune bashing was more enjoyable.
