Some colleagues recently asked me where they could find bars in Hong Kong as the night before they had wandered the streets and, in the end, had to resort to buying some beers at the corner store and retiring to their hotel room.

The best place for bars, especially if you're only visiting, is Lan Kwai Fong. Located in Central on the island, the Fong is a couple of streets jam packed with bars. A favourite for locals and tourists, you can find any type of bar that may take your fancy, from Bit Point that serves European beers and Scnapps, to Insomina which has live music most nights.
